Intaglio Mint (Archived)

“Envy,” the inaugural release in the compelling Seven Deadly Sins Series, is a stunning 1 oz silver round from Intaglio Mint that masterfully explores the dark, corrosive nature of covetousness. The artistry serves as a powerful visual narrative; the obverse presents a haunting split-face portrait—one side human, the other contorted by venomous serpents and eyes piercing with longing—representing the destructive duality of comparison. The reverse establishes the series’ foundation with a crowned skull encircled by seven swirling emblems, each symbolizing a different deadly sin, set against a backdrop of consuming flames.

Struck from 1 oz (31.1035g) of .999 fine silver, this round measures 39 mm in diameter and showcases Intaglio Mint’s signature craftsmanship. Featuring a deep, hand-finished relief, the design gains a tangible, three-dimensional quality where every detail, from the textured scales of the serpents to the intricate background patterns, is rendered with exceptional precision. This piece stands as both a profound work of art and a tangible silver asset, making it an essential acquisition for both dedicated numismatists and collectors of fine, thematic bullion.
